  • 8 cup chicken broth (preferably low-sodium)
  • 3 medium carrots (peeled and sliced)
  • 2 celery stalks (chopped)

  • 2 cup egg noodles
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf

  1. Preparing the Chicken Noodle Soup

    Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

    Start with preparing the ingredients. They just require some preparation. Chop up the vegetable carrots, celery, onion, and garlic and keep them aside. Chop up the chicken breast into small pieces or allow the pieces to remain whole so they can be shredded later on when the dish is ready.

    Step 2: Sauté the Vegetables

    Into a large saucepan or a Dutch oven, pour olive oil and heat over medium flame. Once heated, add onion, carrots, celery, and garlic. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes or more until the vegetables get softened and the onion turns clear.

The variations that require a richer broth are simmering chicken thighs, or using bone in chicken for more flavor. Afterwards when cooled shred the chicken and throw away the bones.
